GE-7
Beautiful. Dynamic.
  Seeking colorful emotion

This phono amplifier achieves the highest class specifications through our middle-class, well-thought-out circuit configuration, and has the organic tone of the GE-1, but with the advanced reproducibility of the GE-10.
It is neither a downgrade of the GE-10 nor an upgrade of the GE-1, but has the expressive power appropriate for its class. The richly expanded tonal range brings out the pleasure of analog record playback to a new level.

Features

PHONO equalizer unit

The circuit is designed as a NF type, with an SRPP circuit (ECC803S) employed in the first stage. By using a parallel plate cathode follower output circuit (6072), the output impedance is reduced, ensuring faithful reproduction of the sound source. Additionally, meticulous sound tuning has been applied to achieve a vibrant and lively tone.

Power supply, the shunt heater circuit

Rectification tunes is 6CA4. The structure of the original power transformer was re-examined because of the higher load than GE-10. The space was secured by enlarging the cut core, and the combination of materials and thicknesses of the insulation paper and interlayer paper was optimized through numerous auditions. In addition, the vibration suppression treatment was also modified to maximize the power transformer's capability.
Like the flagship GE-10, this model uses a shunt-type heater power supply circuit and a smaller power supply housing, so that the size is no more than 480 mm when the products are placed side by side. The shunt-type heater power supply unit has been redesigned to match the current draw. The 6.3 VDC ignition and a group of capacitors eliminate ripple components, contributing to the reproduction of a generous sound field with no fluctuation. The shunt-type regulator circuit ensures that the heater voltage does not change within ±5% of the power supply voltage fluctuation, making it an ideal, extremely stable ignition circuit.

Loading impedance and low cut filter

After connecting to a preamplifier and select the matching value (3 values selectable) at GE-7's output loading impedance, a 20kΩ resultant impedance is preset. The output capacitor of GE-7 and this 20kΩ makes a low cut filter with no negative effect to sound quality. This filter reduce a subsonic moderately and helps keep the sound clean.

Ultra-high-quality parts

This equipment incorporates high-quality original components such as a copper main chassis, pure silver foil capacitors, pure silver lead resistors, SSW wiring, silver shielded cables, silver-palladium plated RCA jacks, and zirconia vacuum tube sockets. In addition, it utilizes custom-made electrolytic capacitors, power transformers, chokes, and other specially ordered parts, all of which are of the highest quality. Careful consideration has been given to the effective placement of carefully selected components throughout the design.
